Hershey, Pennsylvania – On Friday, October 13, 2023, Vista Autism Services held its 16th Annual Walk for Autism to raise funds supporting individual and program needs across Vista’s 12 service lines. All together, participants, donors and sponsors helped Vista raise a total of $26,208!
For the first time ever, the Walk took place in four different locations across multiple program sites to involve staff, clients, families, and community partners from all parts of the organization. The Walks were held at Vista’s main Springboard Campus in Hershey, at our CoVE program in Carlisle at North Dickinson Elementary School, at our Early Intervention clinic in Middletown, and our Community Integration Center at the Good Shepherd Campus in Camp Hill.
Leading up to the event, members of the Vista community were invited to register as a participant and join a fundraising team to compete for prizes and incentives. Funds raised will go toward fulfilling client needs, program enhancements, supplemental technology, and organizational improvements across all our programs.
Vista clients, with the help of their direct support staff, were also encouraged to submit walk T-shirt designs related to this year’s theme “Heroes Among Us.” The winning design was submitted by Vista’s Early Intervention program. The theme “Heroes Among Us” celebrates all those in our Vista Community- including staff, families, community supporters and most of all, the individuals we serve- who inspire us to strive harder, dream bigger, and accomplish amazing things.
