Vista’s Luke Diminick Honored as “Job Coach of the Year” by Lancaster County Employment Coalition
We are thrilled to announce that Luke Diminick, a key member of Vista Autism Services’ Adult Employment Services team, was recently awarded the prestigious “Job Coach of the Year” by the Lancaster County Employment Coalition. Luke was recognized at the Employment Recognition Event on Thursday, October 10, 2024, for going above and beyond in helping his clients with disabilities achieve meaningful community employment in Lancaster County. His dedication and commitment to his clients have made a profound impact, and we couldn’t be more proud of his accomplishment.
Luke’s work is a reflection of the outstanding efforts of Vista’s Adult Employment Services team, which has consistently outperformed national averages when it comes to securing employment for adults with disabilities. The national employment rate for adults with disabilities seeking work hovers around 19.1%, but Vista’s average employment rate exceeds 85%. In just the past three weeks, our team has celebrated 17 new job offers for individuals with disabilities, a testament to the dedication of our employment specialists, including Luke, and support from state, county and local agencies like the Lancaster County Employment Coalition.
At Vista, we believe that every individual has the potential to succeed in the workplace, and our Adult Employment Services team works tirelessly to make that a reality. Through comprehensive, personalized services, we support adults with disabilities as they navigate the employment process—from job searches to on-the-job coaching and support. Our goal is to empower individuals to achieve independence and financial security through meaningful employment. We’re proud to partner with local businesses to create inclusive work environments where our clients can thrive.
The Lancaster County Employment Coalition is an organization dedicated to increasing employment opportunities for people with disabilities in Lancaster and Lebanon counties. Earlier this year, the Coalition merged with the Lebanon Employment Coalition, forming a unified effort to improve employment outcomes in the region. The Coalition’s work focuses on fostering collaborations between service providers, employers, and government agencies to create pathways to employment for individuals with disabilities.
Luke’s recognition as “Job Coach of the Year” underscores the important role that job coaches play in helping individuals with disabilities succeed in the workforce. A great job coach like Luke is essential in bridging the gap between employers and employees, offering support that ensures successful, long-term employment placements.
Luke Diminick’s achievement reflects the ongoing success of Vista’s Adult Employment Services program, where our specialists focus on each client’s unique strengths and challenges, working alongside them to find the right job opportunities. Our employment services include job placement, on-the-job support, career coaching, and follow-up services to ensure continued success. The program aims to build lasting partnerships with businesses that recognize the value of an inclusive workforce while offering clients the tools they need to thrive in their roles.
As Luke’s award demonstrates, it’s not just about finding a job—it’s about providing support that ensures individuals can build sustainable, fulfilling careers. We are proud to be part of this important work, and we look forward to celebrating even more successes in the future.
Congratulations, Luke, on this well-deserved honor! Your work exemplifies Vista’s commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities to reach their unique potential.
