Vista Autism Services is honored to host Dr. Temple Grandin on Thursday, August 14, for Autism: The Way I See It, presented by Future Horizons at The Vista School in Hershey, PA.
Dr. Grandin, world-renowned autism advocate, inventor, animal scientist, and professor at Colorado State University, is a celebrated voice in both the autism and livestock industries. Throughout her career, she has shared powerful, personal narratives—from her own childhood challenges and sensory experiences to her pioneering contributions to animal welfare—with warmth, insight, and humor.
Her upcoming presentation will:
Explore her lived experience as an autistic adult
Reveal practical, evidence-based strategies for early intervention, therapies, and inclusion in schools
Cover essential life-skills topics like puberty, toilet training, driving, and preparing for independence
Illuminate different cognitive styles—visual, pattern, and verbal—and how to leverage them for innovation
