Finding the right learning environment and level of support for your child is critical to their success. At Vista, we always advocate for the least restrictive environment and strive to keep students with autism in their home school district with their neurotypical peers if possible. In order to ensure The Vista School is an appropriate placement for your child, we require series of application steps.
Primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder
Between the ages of 5 and 21
Must be mobile and not require extensive nursing care
Must have and maintain Medical Assistance
Lives within a 50-mile radius up to 1.5 hours from Hershey, PA
The first step is for the intermediate unit, school district, or family to contact Vista. Next, you will submit a referral form and supporting documentation. From there, a series of assessments help us determine if our services will be a good fit for your child.

Vista schedules a psychological evaluation to obtain a prescription to our Educationally Integrated Behavior Support (EIBS) Program.
Families participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Interagency Services Planning Team (ISPT) meetings at The Vista School®.
Student begins in appropriate classroom based on availability and student’s age, strength, and needs.
