Our Early Intervention Center (EIC) is on an exciting growth trajectory, having welcomed seven new members to our dedicated team in February, with three more set to join us in March. Highlighting our commitment to specialized care, the Playful Penguin Room was inaugurated in January, offering a unique half-day program designed specifically for children up to 3.5 years old, focusing on their unique developmental stages. This innovative approach complements our broader Early Intervention program, which emphasizes personalized, play-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy.
As we welcome at least three new little learners into our community, we are equally excited about the enhancements made to their learning environment, particularly with the addition of a brand-new playground. This significant improvement was made possible through the incredible efforts of our development team and the generous support of our donors, culminating in a total of $106,000 raised specifically for the EI playground project.
A substantial portion of this funding was provided by the Rothrock Foundation, which contributed $50,000 to our cause. Rex and Deanna Rothrock, both fervent supporters of Vista through their foundation and individually, have been instrumental in this project, as well as other support for Vista throughout the year. The playground funds were raised through a series of events, including the Motorama event—where the Rothrock Foundation acted as a charity partner—alongside a music benefit titled “Throw Down in the Vines” on July 31st and a generous matching donation from the Rothrocks themselves. Their leadership and dedication were pivotal in bringing this project to fruition.

We also received significant donations from the Donald B. and Dorothy L. Stabler Foundation, which granted $50,000. The Stabler Foundation’s consistent support is crucial to our operations.
In addition, The Hershey Company contributed $5,000, and the M&T Charitable Foundation added another $1,000 towards this initiative.
These developments are a testament to the continuous evolution of our facilities, aimed at enriching the learning and developmental journey of our students. This expansion not only allows us to support more families but also underscores Vista’s commitment to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for early development. We are deeply grateful for the generosity of our donors and the community’s ongoing support in these endeavors.
