Each quarter we have the honor of recognizing staff whose work strengthens our programs and supports the individuals we serve. The Spring 2026 Shining Star recipients bring creativity, reliability, and genuine care to their roles — qualities that colleagues and clients experience every day.
This quarter’s honorees represent a range of programs across Vista, from The Vista School and Early Intervention to Adult Day Services, Adult Employment Services, and Quality and Compliance. Different roles, different settings, and a shared commitment to doing the work well.
Manager, Adult Day Services, Hershey
Jen came into her role as Program Manager at the Hershey Community Integration Center with a people-first approach that has been evident from the start. She listens to staff, follows through on their ideas, and has introduced monthly activity schedules and family newsletters that have brought a renewed sense of connection to the program. From a Veterans Day visit to caroling at a local nursing home, Jen consistently finds ways to make each season meaningful for clients and staff alike. In a short time, she has helped build a culture at the Hershey CIC where people feel welcomed, valued, and glad to be there.
Lead and Supervising Life Skills Instructor, Adult Day Services, Camp Hill
Nia stepped into her supervisory role and quickly became the steady presence her team depends on. Through a demanding winter marked by staffing shortages and illness, she stepped in wherever needed, kept morale high, and guided her team to stay focused on positive interactions and quality care. She approaches challenges with a calm, solution-oriented mindset that helps the people around her find their footing. Nia has been a stabilizing force for her program, and her resilience and commitment reflect exactly the kind of leadership Vista values.
Behavioral Health Technician, The Vista School
Kathy brings consistency and care to The Vista School every day. She keeps programs running without interruption, stays current on documentation, and approaches her work with the kind of steady reliability that teams depend on. Beyond the day-to-day details, colleagues say Kathy has a genuine gift with students — a quality that is evident in the way she shows up for them each day. Her warmth and dedication make a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals she supports.
Program Specialist, Adult Employment Services
JaTanna has a gift for making people feel connected, and as part of a remote team she has put that gift to work intentionally. Through thoughtful initiatives that bring colleagues together across screens and distances, she has helped build a virtual workplace that feels like a real community. That same attentiveness carries into her professional responsibilities, where she coordinates OVR services and manages reports and tracking with precision and care. JaTanna brings the human side and the operational side of her role together with equal excellence.
Quality and Compliance Specialist
Sam does much of her work behind the scenes, but her impact is felt across the organization. In the Quality and Compliance department, she is consistently the first to raise her hand, whether that means digging into a difficult question, taking on a task others have overlooked, or offering a perspective that helps leadership think more carefully. Her leadership of Vista’s organization-wide safety committee has brought meaningful improvements to how Vista approaches safety across programs. Sam’s initiative and thoughtful guidance make a lasting difference.
We congratulate each of our Spring 2026 Shining Stars and thank them for the care and dedication they bring to their work every day. Their efforts reflect the best of what Vista stands for.
Our winners represent just a portion of the outstanding staff nominated this quarter. We want to extend our sincere thanks to every colleague who was nominated. Being recognized by a peer is meaningful, and each nomination is a reflection of the difference you are making on your team, with your clients, and across the Vista community.
