Last fall, our client had no desire in participating in the Work-Based Learning program. But Vista’s always optimistic staff – Meredith, Pre-Employment Specialist and Missi, Behavior Technician never lost hope in him. Fast forward to today, that same young man now works at the Masonic Villages every week in the laundry department! He not only helps fold wash cloths and unload washers and dryers, better yet he has made a positive impact on the employees. Each week they look forward to seeing him and play a huge part in his is success. He has connected with the manager and another employee referring to them as “boss” and “boss lady.” He works until he finishes every task for that day.
What an amazing turnaround! Kuddos to our client who has made such a positive impact in our community. And thank you Meredith and Missi for continuing to inspire hope in our clients!
