Join Us for Vista’s 15th Annual Walk for Education

Vista school student and staff member walking around the quad.

On Friday, October 21, Vista Autism Services will hold its 15th Annual Walk for Education to support The Vista School® and Vista’s district-based autism support classrooms. This year’s theme, Made to Fly, celebrates the soaring successes Vista students can achieve in their educational and behavioral development with the support of the Vista community.

Leading up to the event, we invite students, staff, family, and friends to register as a walk participant and join a fundraising team. Funds raised will go toward enhancing student spaces on campus at The Vista School in Hershey and in our Consortium Vista Education (CoVE) autism support classrooms.

Individual fundraisers have an opportunity to earn some fun Vista swag for hitting $25, $100 and $250 fundraising goals. We will honor the top three individual fundraisers with a certificate and prize for going above and beyond to support Vista. The classroom team that raises the most through 11:59 p.m. on October 21 will win a lunch party!

Fundraising efforts will culminate in a day of celebration on October 21 (rain date: October 26) when students and staff participate in a walk around campus at The Vista School or CoVE and enjoy more fun activities throughout the day. This year we are excited to welcome families back to campus to walk with their students! For our walk event in Hershey, we are also excited to welcome community guests, such as local EMS and law enforcement, who have historically joined us for Community Helper Day. The event will take place between 12-3 p.m. with each student age group rotating through stations in addition to their designated time walking the quarter mile loop around The Vista School quad. The walk event at CoVE will take place between 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.
